Welcome to fileEC (the "Company", "we", "us"). By accessing the fileEC website, applications, products, and subscriptions (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (the "Agreement"), whether or not you create a fileEC account or purchase a paid plan.
If you do not accept and agree to be bound by this Agreement and our Privacy Policy, you must not use the Services.
This Agreement is an electronic contract that sets out the legally binding terms you must accept to use the Services. It incorporates by reference our Privacy Policy and any additional terms disclosed to you when you purchase or subscribe to specific features or plans.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to receive this Agreement and any related notices in electronic form (for example, via email or via your account dashboard). If you do not agree, you must stop using fileEC and close your account.
The Services are not directed to children under 14. By using fileEC, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, or that you are 14–17 years old and have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to use the Services. Use of the Services is void where prohibited by law.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of fileEC complies with all laws and regulations in the country or region from which you access the Services.
You may use fileEC without registering, for example to upload files, convert or compress them, and download the results. In this case, the scope of available features may be limited and processed files may be stored only temporarily and deleted automatically.
To access additional features, you may create an account and/or subscribe to a paid plan. When you do so, you authorize us to contact you by email with information about your account, billing, changes to the Services, and product updates.
You are responsible for the content you upload and process with fileEC. Do not upload, process, or share files unless you have the necessary rights and permissions. You must not use the Services to store or transmit any unlawful, infringing, harmful, or abusive content.
This Agreement remains in effect while you use the Services or maintain a fileEC account. You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to fileEC, including any subscriptions, at our discretion if we believe you have violated this Agreement or applicable law. In such cases, you may not be entitled to a refund of any fees already paid.
fileEC may be used for both personal and commercial purposes, subject to this Agreement and any plan-specific limitations. You are responsible for using the Services in a secure manner and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must not use fileEC for illegal activities or to violate the rights of others.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to keep your password confidential and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security incident. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account that results from your actions or failure to safeguard your credentials.
fileEC and all related software, logos, trademarks, and content (excluding your own files) are owned by the Company or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Services or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, fileEC and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) during the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which fileEC is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Services will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires a different forum.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of fileEC after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
